This resettable marine grade circuit breaker goes inline with your electric reels cord when connected to batteries. Can also be used when fixed plugs are installed on the boat. Prevent fires due to electrical shorts.
For installations on the cord as pictured for deck mounted battery connections on the negative wire connect the reel’s black wire to the post marked battery on the breaker. This is to reduce the voltage/amperage on the exposed terminals to counteract electrolysis in wet conditions.
For normal installations where the batteries are mounted in the boat and trolling motor plugs are used install on the positive wire near the source of power (battery/battery switch). The post marked “Batt” to the wire that goes to the battery.
